ALL THE BEST, MARGARET

Senior Manager, Margaret Chang, has left NASAM after serving more than eight years. She was given a surprise farewell dinner hosted by Founder Chairman, Janet Yeo, at Chef n Brew restaurant on 5 January 2010. There was music and dance and Margaret was presented a laptop as a farewell gift. Board member Sheila Joachim placed a tiara on her head while Stella, Janet's PA, helped Margaret put on a pair of new shoes so she could dance the night away as the princess for the night.

The following afternoon, NASAM PJ/HQ hosted a tea reception to bid farewell to Margaret. Strokees in the afternoon session lined up and surprised Margaret with a carnation each. To thank her for her contributions to NASAM, a powerpoint presentation showcasing her ideas/projects was shown. There were also farewell and thank you messages from colleagues from the other NASAM clubs.

Thank you, Margaret, for all your contributions which we will remember you by. Many good wishes in your future endeavours.

We welcome Lesley Hoh who will be replacing Margaret in the second half of 2010. In the interim, she will spend two days a week at NASAM.

THANK YOU, VOLUNTEERS

It was a reunion of sorts on 7 January 2010 at Sweet Chat Café, MidValley Megamall, when Janet hosted a buffet brunch to thank volunteers, past & present. There was a lot of exchange of good wishes as everyone caught up with each other.

There was also singing by some keen volunteers with music accompaniment by Bernard Loo, a NASAM PJ strokee's carer.

DONATION RECEIVED

On 4 January 2010, strokee volunteer Mike Tay received a mock cheque for RM2,000 from YB Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun who presented the cheque on behalf of the Rotary Club of Pudu. We also received two units health standing stools.

The donation will be used to purchase a new set of corner stairs to replace the current unit which is not in good condition.

OFFER OF 1:1 THERAPY

NASAM PJ is now offering personal one on one therapy to strokees who may prefer individual attention. These sessions are by appointment only. Please refer to Nancy Yap for more information.

1:1 therapy is also available at NASAM clubs in Penang, Ipoh, Malacca, Johor Bahru and Sabah. Please refer to the respective Admin Assistants for further information.
