Chan Hong Lip, an industrial engineer began his career in his family-owned printing business. After  seven years, he diversified into financial services where he remains till the present.

His attraction to social services began at a young age. During his days in boarding school in the UK, he was very much involved in assisting the elderly in the township where he resided.  A stalwart supporter of education for the under privileged, he works with PTAs and Board of Governors to ensure that financial hardships do not prevent students from becoming successful individuals.

In 2005 he joined NASAM Penang, and became chairman in 2009.  He firmly believes in guiding his team of therapists and staff to create an environment that motivates stroke survivors to attend daily therapy and enhance their recovery.
