It was a night filled with hope, inspiration and generosity as the NASAM Johor Fundraising Dinner brought together stroke survivors, families, friends and supporters in one heartfelt cause – restoring hope and life after stroke.

A Story of Strength
Highlight of the evening was stroke survivor Ng Yip Tong, a 53-year-old photographer, who shared his remarkable journey. Despite suffering a stroke 10 years ago due to hereditary hypertension, he never gave up. With NASAM’s rehabilitation, he relearnt to walk within a month and within nine months, was back doing what he loved – photographing weddings at sea.

“Even after 10 years, I still love to travel. This is not to show off, but to encourage other stroke survivors never to give up and believe in their recovery,” he shared to resounding applause.
